Microscopic enlargement of Cystoisospora belli

Cystoisospora belli, the parasite that causes Cystoisosporiasis, can be spread by ingesting contaminated food or water. Cystoisospora can be found worldwide. It is most common in tropical and subtropical areas.

The most common symptom is watery diarrhea. The infection is treatable and preventable.
