People are our greatest asset at CERID. From our investigators to our research scientists to our students, everyone plays an important role in CERID's mission to tackle infectious diseases.

People at CERID

"CERID investigators are working to bring advances in microbiology, virology, immunology and other fields toward the clinic. Translational research is essential for turning papers into products and is well supported by CERID's diverse and collaborative team of basic, translational, and clinical researchers."

Our director on CERID's growth and achievement

Dr. Wes Van Voorhis, Director of CERID, recently reflected on some exciting developments within CERID: “CERID is growing by leaps and bounds. Sixty percent of the microbiology department has moved over to South Lake Union. Many of their faculty have joined CERID as Affiliate Members, providing multiple opportunities for collaboration."
